Austin Street Center

For over thirty years, Austin Street Center has been a cornerstone of Dallas’ efforts to support its homeless population. Their latest endeavor, the Center for Community Engagement, spans an expansive 60,000 square feet and operates round-the-clock, offering comprehensive shelter and day services tailored to the needs of Dallas’ men and women. Through pioneering programming and personalized plans, the center aims to address the diverse needs of its clients, providing essential support and opportunities for a brighter future.

The recently inaugurated facility accommodates a capacity exceeding 500 individuals, providing essential day services, restroom and shower facilities, a dining area, an engagement center, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, and dedicated educational and clinical areas. Among its comprehensive services are mental and physical health care provisions, support for substance use recovery, assistance with employment opportunities, and facilitation of access to permanent housing solutions.
